about
Pricing
Cost is always a major factor when deciding to work with a new service provider. Most therapists tend to charge somewhere between $125 and $150 per session in Colorado, with rates that can sometimes double or triple that figure. Even if you use a low-cost online-platform, like BetterHelp, their package rates still start at $70 to $100 a session.
If you have insurance, this may not be a big deal. You likely have an annual deductible you need to meet before it kicks in. Once it does though, you just take care of your copays or coinsurance until your maximum out-of-pocket amount is met for the year. Then, services basically become ‘free’ for the rest of the year, as long as you keep paying your coverage premiums.
If you don’t have insurance, it gets a little trickier. Trying to find affordable mental health and addiction counseling services can be rough. The out-of-pocket rates that most therapists charge are simply out of reach for a lot of people without insurance – which just contributes to our national mental health crisis. My goal is to make care more affordable for those without insurance by offering a highly competitive rate and flexible session scheduling that fits your budget.
So let me just ask upfront, do you have insurance?
Yes, I Have Insurance
Great!
I accept most major plans:
Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Carelon, CCHA, Cigna, Cofinity, Colorado Access, Evernorth, First Health, GEHA, Medicaid, MultiPlan, Optum, TriCare, TriWest, United Healthcare, UBH, UHC, and UMR… With in-network services and out-of-network options.
Billed Through 'Oak River Wellness'
I am a contracted therapist with Oak River Wellness, a mental health services provider located in Centennial Colorado.
No, I Don't Have Insurance
That's OK!
I offer a highly competitive rate:
My fixed-cost, out-of-pocket rate is $65 per session, which is less than most on-line platforms and within the range required for ‘OpenPath’. A valid credit or debit card must be on file and is charged immediately following our session (or late cancelation).
Billed Through 'Awakening Into Life'
I own and operate Awakening Into Life, a trauma-informed wisdom collective offering a variety of telehealth-only services.
